Answer: No, unless it legally bound

Explanation: Medical records are systematic documentations designed to keep the health history of a particular patient.

It should also be known that, “Confidentiality” is a required characteristic in professionalism, of which medical profession is not an exemption to this. The patient's duty is to apprise the medical personnel with his current health status, while the duty of a medical personnel is to make it confidential. No medical personnel is allowed to share the patient’s health status with other people unless it is required legally.

satela [25.4K]
When improvements or buildings are added to real estate, the real estate tax assessment is usually increased to reflect the increased value of the property. Frank Partipilo and Elmer Hallman owned neighboring tracts of land. Hallman made improvements to his land, constructing a new building and driveway on the tract. The tax assessor made a mistake about the location of the boundary line between
Partipilo's and Hallman's land and thought the improvements were made on Partipilo' Instead of increasing the taxes on Hallman's assessor wrongly increased the taxes on Partipilo's
land. Partipilo paid the increased taxes for three years. When he learned why his taxes had been increased, he sued Hallman for the amount of the increase that Partipilo had been paying. Hallman raised the defense that he had not done anything wrong and that the mistake has been the fault of the tax assessor. Decide.

public policy or social values.

Explanation:

Public policies are laws, regulations, governmental programs, etc. that helps a government run smoothly and efficiently. Similarly, social values are norms which are derived from distinguished desires and beliefs of a society.

In Export Co. v. Imports, Inc., there is not precedent on which the court can base a decision. The court can consider, among other things, public policy or social values to derive its decision.

This is done because when there are no precedents to be referred at, the most efficient measure that the court can take is by considering the social norms and other public policies which may help in concluding a meaningful decision.
