Many mythical creatures appear to have some connection to real animals. Describe an example of this. Why do you think people saw mythical creatures instead of real animals?

I think some people like to imagine what animals they would like to be real or think might be. In my perspective it is all in how people imaging things.

An example of a real animal looking like something mythical, could be a centaur. I think people would see things that weren’t really there to explain their fear, or excitement, that they feel when the creature is presented.
