The surfactant is produced by great alveolar cells (granular pneumonocytes, a cuboidal epithelia), which are the most numerous cells in the alveoli, yet do not cover as much surface area as the squamous alveolar cells (a squamous epithelium).

I hope my answer has come to your help. Thank you for posting your question here in Brainly. We hope to answer more of your questions and inquiries soon. Have a nice day ahead!

Answer:

Cuboidal cells are thicker than squamous cells. Cuboidal cells are usually where a function of absorption or secretion is need.

Squamous cells are usually laid in a single layer making the layer thin. This is useful because this type of arrangement allows for diffusion to happen and its used where diffusion is the main type of transport. Remember that the rate of diffusion slows down with distance. In the lungs gas exchange needs to happen very fast to keep a constant supply of oxygen to the lungs. Cuboidal cells would be too thick.

Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

During presentation of APC-bound antigen, macrophages and dendritic cells secrete the cytokine, interleukin-1, that activates T helper cells

Explanation:

Macrophages interact with T cells in order to generate T cell activation in target organs, and are themselves activated by inflammatory messenger molecules (cytokines) produced by the T cells.

Macrophages produce toxic chemicals, such as nitric oxide, that can kill surrounding cells.

During presentation of APC-bound antigen, macrophages and dendritic cells secrete the cytokine, interleukin-1, that activates T helper cells

Which verb phrases are most appropriate to use in a paragraph written in the future tense? Select three options. had wanted will
Greeley [361]

Your answers are going to be: Will succeed, Will reevaluate, and Will create.

Reason: Had is past tense and Has is present tense. Will is the only word that indicates that the actions will be done in the future instead of having already been done.
