Explanation:

A sphygmomanometer or a blood pressure cuff is a device used to measure the blood pressure. Blood pressure comprises of 2 components i-e systolic and diastolic. As the blood is being pumped in the body through systemic as well as pulmonary circuit, these are the two fluid systems having importance in blood pressure being measured by a cuff.
