Answer:

The pink substance changed phase because its molecules had weak forces of attraction as compared to the green molecules. The molecules of the pink substance moved fast enough so that they could change phase. The molecules of the green substance had greater forces of attraction between them due to which the energy given to them was not enough to break them and change their phase.
