Answer:

It creates a feeling of suspense.

Explanation:

The short story "Flying Blind" tells of how an emergency medical response team of the air medical. They have got an emergency where two females were hurt in  car crash just "<em>three miles north of Urbana on State Route 68</em>".

The protagonist State Trooper Ed Kierzwinsk was hoping for a full night of rest, considering the weather condition. But with that emergency, he and his team had to fly out in their Air trooper 1 "<em>Bell 429 helicopter</em>." But after they had loaded the injured girl inside, though the other one had succumbed to her injuries, Kierzwinsk tried hard to steer clear of the power lines amid the strong winds as it was during the storm. And then the narrator end with the announcement from the operator that "<em>all air traffic has been suspended until further notice"</em>.

This ending is incomplete as it doesn't provide how the medical team fare, do they survive or not? But it is left to us, the readers, to come to our own conclusions, but which is fair to say that they do not survive for we can infer from the lines "<em>The helicopter is temporarily  suspended, roaring at full throttle but motionless in the sky</em>." This ending creates a feeling of suspense, leaving out the ending of the story.

Hello! Sorry this is a little late.

The answer to your question would be Option Four, "It was in one of those moments that you know at the time will stay with you to the grave: the sweet pie, the gaunt man playing the old music, the coals in the stone glowing orange, the scent of kerosene and hot bread."

I can 100% confirm this answer is correct :)

Hope this helps, and have a great day!

choli [55]

The correct answer is "Ordinary people can act heroically in chaotic situations".

Explanation: In "The Great Fire", the narrator explains White's testimony of the  Great Chicago fire; there were accounts of men taking advantage of the situation and overcharging services for people in distress, but in other instances, there were regular people who helped for free. The everyday people who chose to help without expecting anything in return were the true heroes.
