Answer:

b. the amygdala

Explanation:

In psychology, the amygdala is a part of the brain that is part of the limbic system (the most primitive system) and is responsible for emotions, survival instincts, and memory. Some of the emotions that are controlled by the amygdala are: fear, pleasure, anger and feelings from the past that generated a strong emotional reaction.

In this example every time Alice drives by the hospital where her grandmother died, she thinks of her grandmother and gets emotional when she remembers all the suffering her grandmother went through. Since she is recalling feelings from the past that generated a strong emotional reaction, the brain structure that is responsible for evoking such memories is the amygdala.

marta [7]

An example that shows how Romans gave away citizenship rights in measured amounts can be seen when we look at the difference between the Latini and the Foederati.

The Latini were people who were born outside of Rome but on the Italian peninsula. Their citizenship allowed them to do business with Rome, and travel and live within the Empire. However, they were not allowed to have a Roman marriage. The Foederati, on the other hand, were the citizens of states that had obligations towards Rome. They were given limited citizenship rights in exchange for military service.

abruzzese [7]

Answer:

In 1894 a car company cut its workers already low pay by about 25% causing the workers to strike and boycott the company. This effected railroads nationwide bringing american business to a halt. It also allowed the workers to voice their demands as a group. So for the most part, the boycott was successful, but the boycott did have some cons too. Many of the strike workers lost their jobs, and the new hired workers conditions didn't improve. Also, the unions leader was jailed, and the federal government had to get involved to stop the strike. The boycott was successful, but it came with many downsides.

Evan just found out he did not make the symphonic band, but was first chair trumpet in the concert band, the second level band.
Kryger [21]

Answer: Evan just used the process of metacognition.

Explanation: Evan decided to come over the disappointment that he had and consider what would be beneficial for him. He considered giving more importance to his passion for music and not the position. He came aware after thinking of the opportunity of learning that he would have in the band that he was selected in and thus decided to pursue it. He rethought his decision of quitting music and accepted what he was getting. This process of coming aware of the thoughts is known as metacognition.
