c. a matrix of domination.

The concept of matrix of domination was first propounded by the sociologist known as Patricia Hill Collins. This concept explains the complex mix of various types of oppression an individual faces in a society as they are being marginalized in terms of race, class, ethnicity, gender etc, which are interconnected and influence the way people perceive and treat one.
This refers to oppression of certain set of people based on gender, race, or class in the society as a separate classification rather than combined. Thus the theory related to each classification as a separate entity, rather than overlapping one. Therefore a woman may be oppressed in the society based on her race but not oppressed based on the skin color and vice versa.
it is a theory that enabled the oppressed people to fight for and know their privileges in the society. It was developed by Patricia Hill Collins, in relation to the oppression of the African-American women in the US.
