Name a career that requires data-analysis skills. Describe how data analysis is used in this career. Be specific in your example

s. When typical values are given for salaries and housing prices, the median is almost always given instead of the mean. Use what you have learned in this unit to explain why that is. Explain how you would decide whether to use a dot plot or a box plot to display a data set. Give some strengths and weaknesses of each type of display to support your explanation. For the population of adult women in a city, which data would be more likely to have a skewed distribution: height or income

Answer: Find explanations below.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. A career as a Data Scientist would require data analysis skills.

2. The Data Scientist computes and analyzes large amounts of data from different sources and then makes useful interpretations with it. He needs skills In Statistics, Calculus, Probability, Programming, Excel, Visualization, Database management, and Machine Learning. He also needs a high level of accuracy when solving problems.

3. The median value is used when the data set contains values that repeat regularly and which contains some extremely high values. The mean value would aggravate towards higher values while the Median value would give a salary value that is an average of the data set. That is why the median value is used in salaries and housing prices calculations.

4. The dot plot is a simple scale representation of data values using dots to highlight the frequency of occurrences. I would use a dot plot to analyze quantitative data (like percentages, and decimals), and univariate data ( like mean, median, and mode).

The box plot analyzes a group of data in graphic styles. I would use it to determine the interquartile range, maximum, minimum, and median values. I would also use it to identify outliers.

5. Dot plot Strengths:

a. It is easy to plot the dots.

b. It is easy to interpret the data.

c. It shows the connection between the two data sets.

Dot Plot Weaknesses:

a. It shows the similarities between only two sequences.

b. The changes that occur between the data set cannot be easily detected.

c. It is time-consuming.

Box Plot Strengths:

a. Outliers are detected.

b. Indicates the 5-point summary.

c. It can compare more than two data set.

Box Plot Weaknesses:

a. Real values are lost.

b. The graph Is not easy to the sight.

6. The Income of the population of adult women would have a negatively skewed distribution.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME RIGHT NOW.

Answer:

m∠SRV = 48°

Step-by-step explanation:

In the parallelogram attached,

m∠TUV = 78°

m∠TVU = 54°

By applying the property of the angles of a triangle in ΔTVU,

m∠TUV + m∠TVU + m∠UTV = 180°

78° + 54° + m∠UTV = 180°

m∠UTV = 180° - 132°

             = 48°

Sides RS and TU are the parallel sides of the parallelogram and diagonal TR is a transverse.

Therefore, ∠UTV ≅ ∠SRV [Alternate interior angles]

m∠UTV = m∠SRV = 48°

The homoskedasticity-only F-statistic and the heteroskedasticity-robust F-statistic typically are:
LiRa [457]

Answer:

The homoskedasticity-only F-statistic and the heteroskedasticity-robust F-statistic typically are different.

Step-by-step explanation:

An F statistic is a value derived by running an ANOVA test or a regression analysis to find out if the means between two populations are significantly different.

The homoskedasticity-only” F-statistic is derived by running two regressions, one under the null hypothesis and one under the alternative hypothesis. If the “unrestricted” model fits sufficiently better, reject the null.

In the first regression, the restricted regression (the null hypothesis) is forced to be true. This is the regression in which all the coefficients are set to zero; the relevant regressors are excluded from the regression. In the second regression, the unrestricted regression, the alternative hypothesis is allowed to be true. If the sum of squared residuals is sufficiently smaller in the unrestricted than the restricted regression, then the test rejects the null hypothesis

The heteroskedasticity-robust F-statistic is built in to STATA (“test” command); this tests all q  restrictions at once.

The homoskedasticity-only F-statistic is important historically (and also in practice), and can  help intuition, but isn’t valid when there is heteroskedasticity
