Answer:

Amoeba is a single celled eukaryotic organism, found in the water body. These organisms have a false feet called as pseudopodium. It helps in the locomotion and captures food from the external environment. The organism does not exhibit a well defined shape. It has organelles like nucleus and vacuoles surrounded by cytoplasm. The food being captured by psuedopodium is engulfed inside a vacuole. It reproduces by the process of asexual reproduction called as binary fission. The genetic material replicates by the mitotic division, then the cell divides into two equal daughter cells. The amoeba obtains energy from food, and it uses this energy to move, capture food and reproduce.

A clock is a non-living thing. That displays time. It has three needles or hands, the bigger hand displays hour, the small one displays minutes and the thin needle displays seconds. These hands or needles uses energy from a cell or battery.

Characteristics features of amoeba are as follows:

Uses energy

Has internal organization

Characteristics features of clock are as follows:

Uses energy

Contains cells

Lacks genetic material reproduces

Has a defined boundary

Has internal organization

A map shows the town where Niko lives. The actual distance from Niko's house to his school is 3 miles, and measures one-half inc
katrin2010 [14]

Answer:

The distance of the library in the map is 0.67 inches (Rounding to two decimal places)

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's review all the information given for solving this question:

Scale factor for the map of the town = 0.5 inches: 3 miles

Distance from Niko's house to his school = 3 miles

Distance from Niko's school to the library = 4 miles

2. Let's find the distance of the library in the map

Distance of the library in the map = Distance of the library * Scale factor

Distance of the library in the map = 4 miles * 0.5 inches:3 miles

Distance of the library in the map = (2 miles * inches)/3 miles

Distance of the library in the map = 2 inches/3 (Miles are cancelled in the numerator and in the denominator)

Distance of the library in the map = 0.67 inches (Rounding to two decimal places)

Prove the following with Euler's formula to write e^itheta and e^-itheta in terms of sine and cosine. Then subtract them.
kirill115 [55]
Euler's formula tells us that

e^{i\theta}=\cos\theta+i\sin\theta
e^{-i\theta}=\cos\theta-i\sin\theta

Suppose we subtract the two. This eliminates the cosine terms.

e^{i\theta}-e^{-i\theta}=i\sin\theta-(-i\sin\theta)=2i\sin\theta

Divide both sides by 2i and you're done.

Solve the inequality. Using a verbal statement, in simplest terms, describe the solution of the inequality. Be sure to include t
rodikova [14]
-2x + 3 > 3(2x - 1)

the inequality sign > means 'greater than'.

First simplify the right side of the equation by distributing the 3 over the parentheses:-

-2x + 3 > 6x - 3

Now add -6x to both sides of the inequality which gives us
-8x + 3 > -3
Adding -3 to both sides we have
-8x > -6

The next step is to divide both sides by -8 so x is isolated on the left side and this gives us the solution. However there is a rule with inequalities that if you divide the variable term by a negative the inequality is flipped. So in this case , greater that (>) becomes less than (<):-

-8x / -8 < -6/-8

x < 3/4 is your answer.
