What reasoning does Machiavelli use in this passage?
IgorLugansk [536]

Answer:

Machiavelli uses deductive reasoning by first introducing the conclusion that new rulers must be cruel and then supporting it with evidence.

Explanation:

While inductive reasoning provides the evidence for the sake of the conclusion, deductive reasoning jumps straight to the conclusion in order to later on supply us with the corresponding evidence.

In the chapter XVII of Machiavelli's The Prince, the author develops a premises on how a new ruler must be cruel. He gives us the conclusion leaving us in anticipation of the argumentation.

Deductive reasoning is a very successful form of persuasion. Once we are given the conclusion, we await for the arguments and interpret them in order to corroborate and affirm the first statement.

This way by using deductive reasoning, Machiavelli makes his readers his accomplices in proving his point.

Explain three emotional effects of risky behaviour on ones lifestyle choice
Blababa [14]
Hi!

Emotional effects due to risky behaviour can be devastating. They can be anything from a long lasting depression to physical/mental trauma.

Another possible emotional effect could be the general unbalance of emotions. A more specific example would be someone feeling immense feelings of guilt and shame.

Hopefully, this helps! =)

Describe a situation in which you may experience bypass.
julsineya [31]
Bypass has to do with interpersonal communication. Bypassing is the miscommunication (usually) of a verbal message: when the sender says one thing and the receiver interprets something else.
It can occur when different words have the same meaning and when the same words have different meanings.

An example of bypass would be:
One day, Jacob meets a super cool girl and later try's to describe her to his mom.
Jacob says, "She's sick!"
To Jacob, sick means 'cool', but his mom may have interpreted sick as in ill or unwell.
