Answer:

Line 12 suggests that:

B Lovers who once did what women say, eventually become controlling husbands.

Explanation:

The line we are analyzing here was taken from the poem "Verses Written by a Young Lady, on Women Born to Be Controll'd!" Let's take a look at the context:

The tyrant husband next appears,

With awful and contracted brow;

No more a lover’s form he wears:

Her slaves become her sovereign now

According to the poem, a man who is in love with a woman will do anything to please her. He will appeal to her heart, make her feel loved and cherished. However, upon marrying her, he is no longer willing to work hard for her affection. Having secured her, he is now her owner, her boss, and will make sure to treat her in a way that makes that very clear. This poem, written by an anonymous writer, expresses the awful fate of women - destined to be subservient to someone, be it a father, a brother, or a husband. Never free, never her own boss.

1. (a) In "Avarice," the speaker notes four different items "she" keeps.
4vir4ik [10]

All three poems are about money.

Explanation:

1. In Avarice, line 1 opens with a direct address to a personified “Money,” treating money as if it were a living thing, which, as the rest of the poem will show, in a way it is. Human beings have almost brought money to life by worshipping it instead of God. The poem is about greed and the poet says money is got from dirty mines.

2. In 'The Good Life' the poet found peace in being hungry all the time, This is very strange. The poet compares money to a lover who went to get milk and never returned. She says her money simple vanished.

3. In 'Money', the poet says what money means to people. Money not only helps people to survive but it is considered as an addiction.

How do you think the story will develop at the party? Check all that apply.
TiliK225 [7]

Benvolio will be right, and Romeo will forget all about Rosaline.

Romeo and Benvolio will be revealed as Montagues, and a fight will break out.

Juliet will make a decision about whether she wants to marry Paris.

The question asks about your personal opinion when it says, "What do you think". However, there are some choices that make the most sense based on what you know because of any prior knowledge you have of the story and the prologue. We know that Romeo will not be with Rosaline in the end, so it would be logical to think that she is no longer a love interest of his when he sees Juliet at the party. Also, the prologue mentions that there will be new mutiny in regards to the ancient grudge, so we can expect more fighting. Last, we know that Juliet has to make a decision about marrying Paris at the party because of the conversation she had with her mother. Of course, we know what that decision will be, but still.
