Answer:

In the beginning, Leo had 3 cars and Charlie had 3 cars.

In this problem, the statements seem to never be true if applied in the initial value. But if we take the value from the first statement and take it in the second, Leo and Charlie having 3 cars is true.

Step-by-step explanation:

Charlie said to Leo that if you give me one car, then i will have twice as many cars as you have.

(L_{1} - 1) = 2L_{2} = C_{2}

From that statement after Leo gives Charlie a car, we'll have something like:

Charlie's                        Leo's

    2                                    1

    4                                    2

    6                                    3

Also, from that statement we can imply that we're not dealing with a great amount of cars, because the next statement won't be true.

Leo said if Charlie gives him a car, they will be equal.

L_{1}= C_{1} - 1

Another thing is that if the second consideration holds true after the first statement. I will considerate that.

So,

In the beginning, Leo had 3 cars and Charlie had 3 cars.

In this problem, the statements seem to never be true if applied in the initial value.

TV−→− bisects ∠RTS. If the m∠RTV=(16x−6)° and m∠VTS=(13x+9)° , what is the value of x and the m∠RTV ?
natta225 [31]

Answer:

x = 5

RTV = 74

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

RTV=16x - 6

VTS=13x+9

Required

Determine the values of x and RTV

Since, TV is a bisector, then

RTS = RTV + VTS --- (1)

and

RTV = VTS -- (2)

Substitute values of RTV and VTS in (2)

16x - 6 = 13x + 9

Collect Like Terms

16x - 13x = 9 + 6

3x = 15

Solve for x

x = 5

Substitute 5 for x in RTV=16x - 6

RTV = 16 * 5 - 6

RTV = 80 - 6

RTV = 74

to eliminate the y-terms and solve for x in the fewest steps, by which constants should the equations be multiplied? first equat
Mazyrski [523]

Answer: The first equation should be multiplied by 9 and the second equation by −4, to eliminate the y-terms and solve for x in the fewest steps.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Equation (1) 5x − 4y = 28

Equation (2) 3x - 9y = 30

to eliminate the y-terms and solve for x in the fewest steps, we should multiply  equation (1) by 9 and equation (2) by -4 such that

9(5x − 4y) =9 (28)⇒45x-36y=252

-4(3x - 9y) = -4(30)⇒ -12x+36y= -120

Now adding both equations, y-term eliminated and we get, 45x-12x=132

⇒33x=132⇒x=4.

Jet001 [13]

Answer:

I b3live it is 50 miles/hour

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to know how many miles he drove from 9:00 to 10:30 so you do 150-75 which is 75. Then, you do 75÷1.5 because 9:00 and 10:30 are an hour and a half apart and then you get 50 mph.
