Devido ao alto número de terremotos a cada ano, o Japão é incapaz de produzir energia a partir de usinas nucleares. A principal razão é que, devido ao terremoto, a usina nuclear deve ser danificada e a radiação emitida pelo reator nuclear coloca a vida em perigo para o povo do Japão. É por isso que o Japão não instalou usina nuclear para produção de energia.
