Read the passage below and answer the question that follows. Christine wiped away the last of her tears. She didn’t know what ha

d come over her. Normally she was a confident girl, but now she felt so abashed. At the sound of her name being called, she turned and dashed into an empty classroom. She didn’t want to her friends to see her like this. She knew it was just a stupid test on the Civil War, but she had studied so hard for it. She had been so sure she was going to pass.
