Explanation:

As Douglass narrates, slavery not only degrades slaves, but slavers as well. He tells of all the aberrations that he suffered from the slavers and you can see how those people reach the lowest point that a human being can reach.

Even Sophia Auld, who started out as a kind person and who taught Douglass, ended up being despicable because of the power that being a slave trader brought.

I dont think people should be selfish with the government but we do have rights as human and in the constitution stating we dont have to agree with the government seeing we have rights to pur oen beliefs. In this letter Martin Luther King uses this technique to reference civil rights activists and clergymen which gained him mass support since they could relate to his point of view. Throughout the letter he justifies his cause in the name of justice.
