Answer: d.The length of these elements reflects and stresses the importance of the speakers' actions.

Explanation:

The poem We Real Cool by Gwendolyn Brooks speaks of the actions of a what we can assume are a group of teenagers. They skip school, they play pool, they stay out late and they drink strong liquor and so they think they are cool but know they will die soon.

We learn all these from very short lines and stanzas which were done that way to stress the importance of the actions of the teenagers. Gwendolyn Brooks did not want the actions of the speaker to be lost in a lot of words but instead wanted the actions of the speaker to be well pronounced such that the reader understands the impact that the actions of the speaker could have on them.

In this excerpt in part five of Zeitoun, the word that best describes the tone of the excerpt is supportive. The support is shown through his encouragement not to stop working hard when it seems like there is no progress. Those words of support he direct to anyone he sees by assuring them that progress is being made, foundations strengthened and that only by hard work together they can keep work getting done.

Describe ONE way in which Akbar’s response to religious diversity compared to the practices of the Mongols during the 13th centu
kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

- 'While Genghis Khan was attempting to set up his government, Akbar got consultation from the Chinese and Islamic scholars and also initiated a policy declaring the religious tolerance across his empire in order to make the trade safer for traders as well as merchants.'

Explanation:

The above description aptly portrays how Akbar believed in accepting and giving respect to other religions as well unlike the Mongols during the 13th century. Except for this issuing of his policy of religious tolerance, while expanding his empire, he even married a Hindu girl i.e. 'Jodha' and gave her equal respect and dignity to pursue her religions without any restrictions. These things show that Akbar was believed in secularism.
