Swift  says that his proposal is "of no expense and little trouble" to remind readers that each human being is valuable

The correct option is d.

The issue about which Swift addresses in a satirical manner in "a modest proposal" is widespread poverty throughout Ireland. Through “A Modest Proposal” Swift wants to convey his thoughts on the issue that has been plaguing the country. He speaks about the poverty which has plagued the country. He rages on the people who in spite of reducing poverty has given their share in increasing it. He adds that the reason for poverty in Ireland is because of such greedy people. He says that after England had restricted its trade with Irish people, it has been a great loss for Ireland. He addresses both the wealthy citizens of Ireland and the English people to be responsible for the poverty.

zzz [600]
It seems as though the author of this paragraph thinks that all mankind would be happy if they gave a second thought to what they are about to do. In a sense this is true, but yet, we would all be cavemen if we followed that philosophy. Thomas Edison would say, "Should I make an electric light bulb..... naaaah!" As you can see, we would not get very far in life if we did that. We would stick to normality. Some radical ideas are good, though some are bad. And in the branch of 'bad' would be necessary... necessary for the good of man.

Think about the ending of “A Retrieved Reformation.” What can you infer about Ben Price’s opinion of Jimmy Valentine? Does bin P
juin [17]

Answer:

“A Retrieved Reformation”

1. At the beginning of the story, Ben Price rightly thinks that the bank robberies under investigation are committed by Jimmy Valentine, because they bear his signature style.

2. Towards the end of the story, Ben Price's opinion changed completely.  Despite Jimmy Valentine's changed identity, Ben Price, correctly recognized Jimmy Valentine after the latter confirmed his true identity by unknowingly demonstrating his stylish ingenuity by opening the locked door.  Since, Jimmy Valentine decided to surrender himself for arrest, Ben Price must have concluded that Jimmy was actually a changed man, especially now that he had fallen in love with Annabel.

Explanation:

O. Henry, the author of “A Retrieved Reformation” published the short story in 1903.  The story narrated how an ex-convict, who was wanted for a series of bank robberies, suddenly repented and relinquished the life of crime because he had fallen in love with a woman.

What type of rhyme is used in this excerpt from William Butler Yeats's poem "The Municipal Gallery Revisited"? My mediaeval knee
Arlecino [84]
Hello, the answer here would be "slant rhyme". It cannot be a "strict rhyme" because it is not strict, the rhyme changes throughout the poem, it doesn't follow the same scheme. It isn't "internal rhyme" as well, because the words don't rhyme within a single line. It isn't a "double rhyme" because these are all monosyllabic words (one syllable) and for it to be a double rhyme there needs to be at least to syllables in a word. So the only option is "slant rhyme", which isn't exactly rhyming, for example, "dear" and "door" would be considered slant rhyme.
