One day, Mark notices that Karen is cleaning up Daniel's room for the 4th time this week. When he approaches her about it later,

she dismisses him - saying that Daniel has just been really busy with his extra-curricular activities. However at dinner that night, Daniel decides he doesn't want to play on the tennis team anymore. Karen reminds him that her and Mark both played tennis growing up; further, Karen reminds him that she has been helping him out a lot so he can play tennis - by cleaning his room, buying him items he needs, etc. Daniel slumps his shoulders after a moment and says "you're right." Mark thinks Karen is trying to play the _ (blank) _ type of parent.

Answer:

Mark thinks Karen is trying to represent the democratic type of parent.

Explanation:

Karen did not impose that Daniel keep playing tennis, which indicates that she is not trying the authoritarian style of parenting. Furthermore, she is not failing to care whether or not Daniel will stop playing tennis, which indicates that she is not trying the negligent parenting style.

However, Karen preferred to explain to Daniel that playing tennis is a beneficial activity and that she is helping him to stay on the team, which made Daniel reason and realize that she was right. This is an example of the democratic type of parentability, where countries explain their opinions on a particular topic, but allow their children to make their own decisions, without imposing reprisals, and without acting as if they don't care.

tamaranim1 [39]

In a parallel circuit, the voltage across each of the components is the same, and the total current is the sum of the currents through each component.

If two or more components are connected in parallel they have the same potential difference ( voltage) across their ends. The potential differences across the components are the same in magnitude, and they also have identical polarities. The same voltage is applicable to all circuit components connected in parallel.

If each bulb is wired to the battery in a separate loop, the bulbs are said to be in parallel.

Assume that a particular human cell is examined under a microscope, and it contains 22 autosomes and a Y chromosome. This cell i
frez [133]

Answer:

A sperm cell

Explanation:

A diploid cell has 46 chromosomes which is normally signified by somatic cells. Germ cells or gametes are haploid cells therefore they contain only 23 chromosomes. Male gamete contains 22 autosomes and one sex chromosome. That sex chromosome can be X or Y.

Female gamete does not have Y chromosome as a sex chromosome, it has only X chromosome as a sex chromosome. So Y chromosome in a human cell which have 22 autosomes determines that it is a male gametic cell or a sperm cell. Sperm cells that have a Y chromosome if fuses with female gamete produce male offspring(XY).

So the correct answer is- a sperm cell.

The flu vaccine (administered as a shot or a nasal spray) is made of a combination of the different types of influenza viruses t
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

This happens because viruses mutate and vary according to the environment they face. That is why different strains occur and appear every day, which must be updated in the vaccines, in order to have immunity up to date and keep up with the viral mutation without making us sick.

Explanation:

Viruses are acellular structures that do not have their own metabolism or replication method, it is because they must dominate and invade the human body so that its DNA or RNA is coupled to the human and this uses the human machinery to be able to replicate.

On the other hand, as infections occur and viruses appear, they can associate with bacteria forming bacteriophages, they can mutate within an organism that is infected by more than one viral infection and they can even adopt retrovirus mechanisms, which day by day. These new viruses are called as new strains, which evolve and will have to be coupled with vaccines.

Vaccines are a method of natural ACTIVE immunity, that is, part of the virus is inoculated, so that it generates the formation of a specific antibody in the body.

yuradex [85]
The crabs are salt water organisms, so they'll have a higher concentration gradient than the distilled water. In other words, they're hypertonic to the distilled water. This will cause them to take on water and expand; their cells bursting.
