Read the passage. I left the port city early in the morning. The boat was loaded with wood, spices, and perfumes from lands acro

ss the sea. Raising our sails, we caught the wind and sailed the mighty Nile. At one market, I bartered for more linen and grains. At another, we obtained oil and wine. At the next, salt. Yes, we needed that. I watched another merchant amble away, his donkeys pulling carts filled with jars and bundles. I had farther to go, too. I thanked the river for speeding my journey. Its waters were low, and I watched workers turning lumber like ours into new boats along its banks. In a few days, we would reach Aswan. There, we would trade for gold and animal skins. Perhaps we would find new things, too, before turning around and beginning the trip anew. What was the importance of the Nile River as described in this passage? The Nile River was used to transport many trade goods. Only non-food goods could be transported on the Nile River. People relied only on the current of the Nile River to move their boats. The Nile River was used for transportation when the water was at its highest.

A. increased water scarcity B. overfishing C. decreased soil salinity D. deforestation

Overfishing, decreased soil salinity and deforestation are concerns about agricultural production and its effect but the increased water scarcity is not.

 • 6. One example is mud flowing down a hill and onto a highway.
 • mass wasting

Explanation:

 • The characteristics of the tsunamis are related to those associated with the shaking of the ground that is produced by the movement of the tectonic plates from below as in the event of the earthquakes and thus the sudden release of the violent energy create huge killer waves and they can also lead to the mass wasting phenomenon.
 • Hence the process of mass wasting occurs due to the movement of the layers of them is under the flow of the gravity and is a hazard that is associated with the earthquakes.

What is typically responsible for forming volcanic island chains in the oceans? Question 10 options: A) Composite volcanoes B) F
RSB [31]

Answer:

C

Explanation:

A hot spot develops above the plume. Magma generated by the hot spot rises through the rigid plates of the lithosphere and produces active volcanoes at the Earth's surface. And as oceanic volcanoes move away from the hot spot, they cool and subside. As a result they produce older islands, atolls, and seamounts.

Describe the relationship between the level of service and the price of a hotel room?
dexar [7]

Answer:

The role of pricing on customer satisfaction has been largely ignored, however hospitality services are, for the most part produced by humans, and consequently, no two guest stays will be precisely alike.

However researches have been carried out suggesting that the variability in performance across different consumption experiences leads to increased uncertainty, and thus to decreased reliance on prior expectations, in such situation consumers tend to use price as a cue of performance expectations. Which makes it difficult to know customer satisfaction.

Meaning the relationship between the level of service and the price of hotel room is uncertain because know two human is alike.
