Answer;

a = 2 m/s^2

Explanation;

According to the second Newton's Law of motion; The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.

Therefore;  F = ma; where F is the resultant force. m is the mass and a is the acceleration;

Then; 0.5 N = 0.25 × a

            a = 0.5/0.25

               = 2 m/s²

Given is the mass of the volleyball which is 0.25 kilograms and a force of 0.5N.
The acceleration of the ball needs to be determined.

Using dimensional analysis,

0.5 N is equivalent to 0.5 kg*m/s^2

F = ma; and the mass of the ball is 0.25 kg. So,

0.5 kg*m/s^2 = 0.25 kg * a

solve for a:

a = 2 m/s^2

11) In C3 photosynthesis, the reactions that require ATP take place in A) the light reactions alone. B) the Calvin cycle alone.
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

In C3 photosynthesis, the reactions that require ATP take place in

B) the Calvin cycle alone.

Explanation:

In C3 PLANTS PHOTOSYNTHESIS OCCUR IN TWO STEPS-

1. LIGHT stage , WHICH TAKES PLACE IN LIGHT. In this stage water is split and ATP is released.

2. DARK stage, which takes place in dark. This the stage where calvin cycle takes place which require ATP, i.e energy. In this process sugar is produced with help of carbon dioxide. In this carbon dioxide is accepted by 5- carbon molecule ribulose-1, 5-biphosphate, which result into two molecules of 3- phosphoglycerate. this three carbon compound. hence is called as C3 pathway. hence C3 plants.

Transport of D- and L- glucose proceeds at the same rate down an electrochemical gradietn by which ofhte following processes?
san4es73 [151]

Answer:

Explanation:

Active transport is the movement of molecules or substance from a region of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration across a cell membrane against the concentration gradient.

Active transport requires cellular energy and are of two types:

primary active transport that uses adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and secondary active transport that uses an electrochemical gradient.

Active transport helps in the uptake of glucose in the intestines.

Cotransport or secondary active transport is the movement of molecules across a membrane it uses electrochemical potential difference that is created by pumping ions in or out of the cell.

Cotransport helps in the transport of glucose across the cell membrane.
