Give your own example of a survey question that would likely create a notable source of non-sampling error

SAT

Ganezh [65]2 years ago

Answer: "Why do you think it is wrong to support the Republicans in the upcoming elections?"

Explanation:

Non-sampling errors are those errors that do not have to do with the sample that was chosen for the research such as false information by participants, error in data entry, and the participant providing an irrelevant answer amongst others.

Another common source of non-sampling error is biased survey questions as these questions influence the participant to give a response that is skewed to a certain response.

In the question above, the researcher already assumes that it is wrong to support Republicans in the upcoming elections and in asking such a question will lead to participant to give a response that is skewed towards negativity to the Republicans.

There are 39 students in Ms. Salazar's chemistry class. If Ms. Salazar divides the class into 9 lab groups of 4 or 5 students ea
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

3 groups of 5

Explanation:

if x is the number of groups of four, and y is the number of groups of five, then 4x +5y =39 (four students per group of four times the # of groups of four, and 5 students per group times the # of groups of five, which should equal the total amount of students, 39). also, x+y=9. (number of each type of group = 9 groups total).

then, use these two equations and solve for y, by "canceling out" x. there are many ways to do this, but i'm going to use subtraction.

4x-5y=39

x+y=9

you want to change the equation

x+y=9

into

4x+4y=36

by multiplying the whole equation by four. because in order to cancel out the x, you need it to equal zero. in the first equation, its 4x.

so its now

4x-5y =39 MINUS

4x+4y=36

___________

y=3

you can check your work because the remaining 6 groups of four (24 total students) plus the 3 groups of five (15 total students) adds up to equal 36

Anvisha [2.4K]

The words and phrases that best develop a positive tone toward Guapo in the passage are:

 • take care of
 • exploring
 • left
 • slender

I take care of a cat named Guapo. He is always exploring our neighborhood, looking for delicious bits of left food that people have out. Because Guapo is a very active cat who lives outdoors, he has a very slender body

A phrase is commonly defined as a group of two or more words that work hand in hand but don't form a clause.Example "Yellow popcorn”. it is not a full sentence and does not make a complete sense.

Positive tones are simply nice lovely and kind tones people use in communicating with people.

Conclusively Guapo is being referred to in the short passage with the use of positive tones.
