First, the Babylonian empire had already set up in the middle east and established city-states, whereas the Hittite arrived to conquer land and establish colonies. The Hittites could smelt iron for weapons giving them a strong military. Around 1200 B.C. they struggled with famine while being attacked by Mediterranean invaders, known as sea people, and by nomad tribes in the east this was their down fall. From 1595 B.C. to 625 B.C. the Babylonians were under rule from invaders until a general known as Nabopolassar drove out the invaders and became king. Soon after Their great new empire emerged.

Explanation:

One way that the empires were distinctive is that they had two different geological locations - Hittites were in the Anatolian area while the Babylonians were established in the Mesopotamian region. The Hittites were known for their chariots and metal works while the Babylonians were identified for their literature and law systems.

How did the Jim Crow laws fortify and perpetuate, or continue, racial discrimination in the United States?
Dahasolnce [82]
Jim Crow laws were laws passed in the Southern states in the US after the era of Reconstruction. These laws perpetuated racial discrimination because they resulted in segregated public facilities. For example, Jim Crow laws lead to separate schools, churches, parks, bus stops, restaurants, and movie theaters for black and white citizens.

These segregated facilities continued to promote racial discrimination, as the facilities for black American citizens were inferior to those for white citizens. This was especially true when it came to public schools.
