Read the Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions, by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, 1848.

Which of the following best describes the  author's tone in the text?

O A Desperate and pleading

OB Formal and firm

O C Angry and defensive

OD Bitter and mocking

Answer: B Formal and firm

Explanation:

Stanton (1815-1902) uses a formal yet firm tone in the Declaration, referencing the fight for women’s rights in the idea that an unjust and despotic Government must be replaced by rebellion if needed. She calls for prudence but provides facts about the mistreatment women have suffered and calls for the "immediate admission to all the rights and privileges which belong to them as citizens of these United States," stating that, no matter the forces against them, they will keep fighting.

jasenka [17]

The themes of friendship and loyalty are developed in these excerpts by the use of the infidelities. Tennessee had an affair with his partner's wife and she accepted him. However, she was also unloyal to him and she finally abandoned him to go with another man. The relationship between Tennessee and his partner is a ckear example of loyalty and frienship because even though Tennessee courted his wife they continue being friends, they had an affection that was unconditional. olga_2 [115]

First of all Zeus has no mother. In this sense he is like Athene because she was born from his forehead and has no mother either. She is the godess of wisdom and on many ocassions Zeus is sought for advice on the same matter. Both are corageous and wise.Zeus seems to have this ability to procreate and Athene is also godd at giving birth to inventions useful for men. Also they are the older gods together with Dionysious. She acts on her own initiative without asking Zeus and the god, in turn acts according to his will without asking any other. Both usually work together and are the most powerful  of the gods.
