Answer:

You <em><u>have</u></em> certain rights and responsibilities if you're a tenant in privately rented property. You have the right to: live in a property that's safe and in a good state of repair, have your deposit returned when the tenancy ends, challenge excessively high charges, <em><u>know</u></em> who your landlord is, live in the property undisturbed, be protected from unfair eviction and unfair rent. If you do not know who your landlord <em><u>is</u></em>, write to the person or company you pay rent to. Your landlord can be fined if they do not give you this information within 21 days.

Explanation:

Verb tense error occurs when there is the wrongful use of the tense form of the verb. The verb tense tells the readers of when the action is taking place, and so, the correct usage of the verb tense ensures the correctness of the statements being made.

In order to refrain from making errors in the verb tense structure or form, the consistency of the verb tense must be maintained. The subject-verb agreement must also be taken into consideration so that the correct tense of the verb can be maintained.

Therefore, the <u>errors of the verb tense in the given passage are "have", "know" and "is"</u>.

Critical news literacy requires applying the four D's of journalism: doubt, discern, demand and ...
Scilla [17]

Answer:

Detect

Explanation:

To be a journalist, there are four D's on which the journalist bases his thoughts. These four D's also motivate them to act, achieve success and prosper in their field. These four D's are;

1. Doubt: This implies that the journalist is meant to question every piece of information. He does not just accept them hook, line, and sinker, rather, he makes the effort to probe further to get to the root of matters.

2. Discern: This means that they have to think critically to obtain a fair balance. This implies that the journalist reasons objectively on matters, not with his emotions. He also makes the effort to determine which version of a story is more accurate, and then reports that.

3. Demand: This  is the ability of the journalist to request freedom of speech and seamless communication for the citizens, as well as a high quality of service delivery and content in the job they do with fellow colleagues.

4. Detect: This is the journalists 'nose for news'. Because they want to know the truth, they hunt down sources of news to get information from them. They assemble the bits so as to get a clearer picture.

Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

Based solely on this sentence? Best definition if we're only using this is...

A person who is authoritarian ('he alone'), blunt ('uses the literal meanings of words') and forcibly supresses others ('will not listen to others', 'makes decisions on behalf of others').

Not too far off the mark, but there's a lot more to fascism than is shown here.

Hi FallDownGuys,

Your Question:

Read the excerpt from Act III, scene iii of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Laurence: Romeo, come forth; come forth, thou fearful man: Affliction is enamour’d of thy parts, And thou art wedded to calamity. What is the meaning of the phrase "thou art wedded to calamity”? You have not had enough disaster in your life. You often have disaster around you. Your marriage will be a complete disaster. Your confusion is the cause of many disasters

Your marriage will be a complete disaster.

The reason its the answer i choose because it states in the sentence "thouh art wedded" which means they got married and the fact that it says calamity at the end states the marriage wont last due to the disasters that will happen between them.
