Answer:

C). The author comes to various outlandish conclusions that lead the reader to question his credibility.

Explanation:

Authors employ several techniques to persuade or convince the audience to accept and believe in the claims or ideas proposed by the author. Logic or reason is one of these techniques which is quite significant to establish the credibility of the claim and conclusion.

As per the question, the statement that best assesses the author's logic is displayed through option B as it displays that the author has reached 'quirky or outlandish conclusions' which goes offbeat due to lacking reason or logic and thus, 'compels the readers to question his credibility'. Therefore, the claims presented in an essay or text must have a logic and coherence among them to establish the argument before the readers. Thus, option C is the correct answer. The other options has no affiliation to logic.

THE EXPANSION OF CENTRAL GOVERNMENT CONTROL AND INDUSTRIALIZATION INTRUDED TRAGICALLY ON THEIR TRADITIONAL FARMING LIFESTYLE. TRADITIONAL INDIAN LIVING INCLUDED TRADING CROPS, THIS HOW THEY CREATED AN INCOME, AND HOW THEY SUSTAINED THEIR LIFESTYLE; IT WAS ALL THEY KNEW. SO WHEN GREATER GOVERNMENTAL CONTROL EXPANDED TO INDIA, AND INDUSTRIALIZATION EXPANDED. THINGS STARTED HAPPENING LIKE GOVERNMENT SEIZING FARMERS LAND. WITHOUT THIS LAND FARMERS WERE NOT ABLE TO GROW AND PRODUCE CROPS TO SALE OR TRADE FOR THE THINGS THEY NEEDED TO SURVIVE. INCLUDING LESS FOOD TO EAT. SO FARMERS WERE STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE AS ALL THESE NEW WAYS OF LIFE WERE INTRUDING ON THEIR TRADITIONAL LIFESTYLES, AND BECAUSE THE AGRICULTURE WAY OF LIFE WAS ALL THEY WERE TAUGHT IN WAS HARD FOR FARMERS TO ADAPT TO THE NEW INDUSTRIALIZED CHANGES. THE BOOK FOLLOWS ONE PERSONAL STORY OF A FARMER AND HIS PERSONAL STRUGGLE WITH ADAPTING TO THE CHANGING WORLD AROUND HIM. You are correct - it is the first one. Remember that a dependant clause is a part of sentence that cannot be its own. Can "After I walked the dog," be a complete sentence? The other ones are complex and simple.
