Hello. You forgot the answer options. The options are:

A. With old age comes wisdom.

B. Concern for others is more important than vanity.

C. Kindness to others is usually rewarded.

D. Appearances can be deceiving.

Answer:

C. Kindness to others is usually rewarded.

Explanation:

“The Green Satin Gown” tells the story of a girl who, at the request of a wealthy and kind lady, wore a green satin dress at a very important party for this lady. The problem is that the dress belonged to this lady when she was young and was old and very outdated. The girl did not want to wear a dress so old-fashioned at a party with so many important people, this was because she felt very embarrassed to wear it, but as this was a request made by such a good lady, she swallowed the shame and put on the dress.

To reward the girl for her kindness, the lady left her as an inheritance, many gold coins and a beautiful and precious necklace.

This shows how acting with kindness yields the best rewards.

Read this claim from an argumentative essay about zoos.
Margaret [11]

"Many animals die prematurely in zoos because they are exposed to infectious diseases." is the only quote that has anything to do with the claim, "Zoos must improve conditions so that they can meet the health and safety needs of the animals." because it is the only one that has to do with the early of the animals.

What are some examples of the use of figurative language in “Tribute to a Dog”? What is the impact of figurative words and phras
Yuliya22 [10]
Figurative language is one of the most important elements of any literary texts. It's like the spice and seasoning of a dish, it gives taste to it.

"A Tribute to a Dog" is a speech made by Senator George Graham Vest as his closing argument for his client's dog shot and killed by his neighbor. Some examples of the figurative language used in the text are the following:
♣ He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master’s side. (Personification)
♣ The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him and the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog. (Personification)
♣ A man’s dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness (Hyperbole)
♣ He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince. (Metaphor)
♣ He is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey to the heavens. (Simile)
These are just a few of the figurative languages used in the text, there' still more. But these ones give more impact to the whole text. It makes it more convincing and meaningful. For sure because of this speech, his side won the case.
