Some grass species use the C3 photosynthetic pathway and other grass species use the C4 photosynthetic pathway. As you move from

North Dakota to Texas, explain why you think the percentage of grass species using the C4 photosynthetic pathway would increase, decrease, or stay the same.

Answer:

would increase

Explanation:

C3 plants are those where the first carbon compound produced during photosynthesis have three carbon atoms per molecule (instead of 4 in C4 plants). While higher is temperature and light, oxygen (O2) exhibits a higher affinity for Rubisco, a key enzyme in photosynthesis. In environmental conditions with high temperatures and light such as, for example, Texas when this state is compared to North Dakota, C4 plants tend to be more productive than C3 plants (because these plants have different metabolic pathways). Thus, it is expected that the percentage of C4 plant species in the local grass flora increases as latitude decreases.

Imagine a cell with a semi-permeable membrane that is selective to K+ ions only. The internal solution contains 100 mM KCl and t
kompoz [17]

Answer:

C. Nernst equation

Explanation:

The Nernst Equation is used to find the equilibrium potential of an ion.

It tells you only what the equilibrium potential for an individual ion is, not what the summed effect of all ions is on the membrane potential.

The formula for Nernst Equation is:

        E_{ion} = \frac{RT}{FZ} In \frac{[ion]_{out} }{[ion]_{in} }

where F is Faraday Constant, R = gas constant, 8.314 J/mol K

, T = temperature, in K, Z stoichiometric number of electrons in the reaction,   is the Reduction Potential in V.

Kindly note that, if we have a squid giant axon at rest with normal intracellular and extracellular ion concentrations.  If the membrane permeability to K+  ions is increased, the K+ equilibrium potential (Nernst potential) will stay the same.

USLANTCOM had been active from 1947 to 1993 as a main U.S. Navy command, focused upon the wartime defence of the Atlantic sea lanes against Soviet Union attack. After the end of the Cold War, a 1993 reorganization gave the Command a new acronym, USACOM, and make United States Army Forces Command and Air Combat Command under its authority. USJFCOM was established in 1999 when the old United States Atlantic Command was change its name and given a new mission: leading the transformation of the U.S. military through experimentation and education.

Law Incorporation [45]
Mist nets have been used to capture birds and insects and monitor their populations. Although the number of individuals captured in the nets has been used to estimate population sizes of certain species, this approach can present several problems. On the one hand, to estimate abundances, the use of counting points provides more accurate results, since the data of the capture with nets come from a few points per unit of time. In the case of canopy, the ideal days for this project should be days with the least fog to be able to visualize the species and the impressive vegetation that can be seen from the height, but if what they want is to capture some species for some type of study, they will have to wait for days with more fog.
