For more than 800 years, the samurai have shown and teaching honor, duty, and service that remains in Japanese society still today. The samurai helped lay the foundations of Japan's culture.  They held values and morals that have held up for so many years, it is wonderful that they have held on to them for so long. lesya692 [45]

Answer:

This is a primary source.  He wrote the letter to impress the Spanish king and his court, to convey that his expedition had been a good investment because the place was rich and luxurious, that there were gold and other riches to plunder, and peoples to force into submission to the crown of Spain. It is reasonable to expect that his letter stimulated the mind and imagination of contemporary Spaniards.

What burden influenced some non-Muslims to convert to Islam?
stealth61 [152]
Most people converted to Islam because it was a very tolerant religion and it appealed to many. However, since the question is asking what "burden" was an influence, the only one I can think of would have to be the jizya. The jizya was a special tax that non-Muslims had to pay to live under Muslim protection in Muslim lands; if they convert to Islam they wouldn't have to pay it.
