Answer:
A. and is likely the basis for the Epic of Gilgamesh and the biblical epic of Noah's Ark.
Explanation:
These are two common stories about the great flood. They were also similar circumstances.
Mediterranean water flowed into the Black Sea through its single connection: the Bosporus Strait.
The Mediterranean water that does inflow mixes with fresher Black Sea water, and as its salinity and density decreases, the Mediterranean water forms plume-shaped features. These plumes flow away from the mouth of the strait and descend until their density matches that of surrounding waters, usually at depths of 100 to 600 meters.
This creates some sort of stormy environment, which is reminiscent of the two religious stories.
Answer:
C
Explanation:
A hot spot develops above the plume. Magma generated by the hot spot rises through the rigid plates of the lithosphere and produces active volcanoes at the Earth's surface. And as oceanic volcanoes move away from the hot spot, they cool and subside. As a result they produce older islands, atolls, and seamounts.
Answer: Seemingly permanent civil war/conflict, lack of food
Explanation: These are the most prevalent ones... hope this helped
Hey there! I'm happy to help!
The Fertile Crescent is basically where human civilization started. It stretches from Mesopotamia and across the Mediterranean coast to Egypt. Early civilizations depended on agriculture. To make agriculture, you need a river because it is a good water source to help grow your crops.
If you look at the map I have provided below, you will see that there are tons of rivers. This would make it very easy for settlers to grow crops. This means that sea tides and eroding mountains aren't the answer. I don't think the rivers were flooding and natural canals is an oxymoron because canals are artificial waterways, but this all should give you and idea.
Have a wonderful day! :D
