Answer:

The correct answer is A) Also, the word ketchup has an interesting story.

The most effective way to invert sentence 6 in order to vary sentence patterns is: "Also, the word ketchup has an interesting story."

In grammar and editing, you have to vary the sentence pattern in order to not sound too monotonous. Reading the text or paragraphs should sound natural and with rhythm. So in the case of this passage, when you add the word "also" at the beginning of the sentence, it changes the style of writing and when the reader sees "also", they know that more or better information is coming.

After reading the passage, I find that the best way to invert sentence 6 is : The word ketchup also has an interesting history. I chose this sentence inversion because it ties the sentence well together with the rest of the paragraph and does not seem like it is just jumping from one topic to the next.

Your answer is: The word ketchup also has an interesting history.

Have an amazing day!

Ivenika [448]

Brown Vs Board of Education sparked debate on civil rights as described in the Constitution.

Roe Vs Wade was about women's right to abortion.

Bush Vs Gore determined who won the election in Florida and ultimately the presidential election.

In the last case, state law in Florida required recount of ballots if the totals were very close. But Gore only requested recounts in four counties. FL Supreme Court ordered a statewide recount instead. US Supreme Court stepped in and ruled that FL court's action violated the Equal Protection Clause in the Constitution by using different standards of counting in different counties. The recount was stopped and Bush won.
