Answer: c. assets

Explanation:

Assets are things that people own that either makes them money or is valuable enough that it can be sold for money.

Jerry's farmland makes money and can be sold for money as well which makes it an asset. The vehicles and the industrial land are also valuable and the jewellery store makes money so these are all assets.

Assets determine the economic net worth of a person such that when they say Elon Musk is worth $185 billion, they mean his net assets are valued at that amount.

Exciting New Gym Opening Soon!!!
WARRIOR [948]

b)It is to persuade people to join the gym.

The text begins with a description of the different things that the gym has to offer. It then goes on to specifically address the audience by using the word "you" and listing the hours that the gym is open for the audience's convenience. The text then discusses why the new gym is better than other gyms and continues to list the features that it thinks will be appealing to the people. The text ends with an incentive for people to join the gym before the end of the month. While there are details about a gym, the reason behind those details is to persuade people to sign up. The text does not give specific instructions about how to sign up or why exercise is important.

In at least 150 words, discuss the significance of setting in Melville's "Bartleby the Scrivener." Use evidence from the text to
Viktor [21]

The setting in Melville’s “Bartleby the Scrivener” is a crucial element in the story. The extended title, “A Story of Wall-Street”, provides the specific setting as regards place. At that time, Wall Street had become an important financial center in America. As regards the year of publication, the work was first published in 1953 which was a time of rapid development in American economy.

The story takes place in a law office in Manhattan. The office presents an unfriendly environment that resembles the business-based atmosphere of Wall Street. The space is described as “entirely unhallowed by humanizing domestic associations” (p.36). In that way, the author describes the impersonality of a business society. In this context, the author does not provide the reader with any information about the characters apart from their particular behavior in the office. Also, the word “walls” is repeated many times throughout the story and they refer to the barriers between employer and employee.
