Hi, My name is Niall Horan and I live in West Berlin. Right now there's a thing going on called the Berlin Airlift. The Russians are trying to take us over. You see this is a bad thing because the Russians are communist, and in a communist society you don't have a say in the government and you have very little room to stand up for yourself. This is why we are so afraid of the Russians.

Another reason why were afraid of the communist is because they are a very pro-war society. We are anti-war we believe that peace is the answer. When someone with totally different beliefs come and takes over your country, it's a scary idea to imagine. The Russians are powerful and scary, and as a 16 year old girl, it's traumatizing.

My name is Mila. I have been hungry, scared and cold for months. We have not been able to eat or escape since the Russians invaded. But soon, we got good news that the bad guys were retreating! We heard that the Allies were going to divide our territory up and help us escape and get to a better place.

All of a sudden, I look up and I see a plane! When it lands, its shipment contains food.. lots and lots of food. I have never been more grateful for that day in my entire life. The warm, soft bread and the steaming hot soup cured my aching hunger that had been holding onto my stomach for months.
