He is not to get noticed.  He probably is running from something.  The sentences you should circle include sentence 2 where he talks about how he is sitting low in the seat and pulling his cap over his face as much as possible.

The other sentence that comes after 7 Eleven should be circled too - "I'm way down in the seat..."

Someone is going to sit beside him and he will not have 2 seats to himself and he will not be able to shield himself as much.
