Which statement correctly compares and contrasts My Story and "On the Bus with Rosa Parks"?
KatRina [158]

The right answer is “Both the memoir and the poem are about Rosa Parks, but the poem talks more about her personal feelings.” Rosa Parks was an American activist in the civil rights movement. She is known for her essential role in the Montgomery bus boycott. In December 1955, she disallowed bus driver James F. Blake's order to surrender her seat in the "colored section" to a white passenger, after the whites-only section was full. “On the Bus with Rosa Parks” is one of several sections in Dove’s book that gives voice to Rosa Parks. The use her, female voices in her poem can be outlined to Dove’s own life experiences, reflection of her own actions and emotions in times where black people were ignored, infringed upon and usually abused.

The answer is "yes, completely ".

By telling it through complex performances, the Iroquois passed this Story through one generation to the next, that's why it fulfills its functions.

How does the writer best use evidence to support the claim? Select three options.
lidiya [134]

Answer:

A). The writer uses empirical evidence by including specific data about student debt and loans.

B). The writer uses empirical evidence by stating the exact amount of debt that his daughter owes.

F). The writer uses anecdotal evidence by sharing a personal connection to the student debt problem.

Explanation:

The authors employ a variety of evidences to substantiate their claim in order to establish their credibility and validity of their claim. In the given passage, the author primarily employs 'anecdotal and empirical evidences' to authenticate their claim.

'Empirical evidence' is illustrated as the evidence that are produced or generated by the researchers through necessary experimentation and observation(here the father recognizes the amount of money his daughter owes i.e. $50,000 and inclusion of particular data regarding student debts and loans). While the 'Anecdotal evidence' is described as the evidence molded in the form of a story that involves decisive reliability on personal testimonies(here the father presents his personal affiliation to wider issue of student debt). Thus, options A, B, and F are correct.
