In one scene there is a Roman painting of a woman in a veil which is actually the same woman painted continuously 3 times alongside, in reference to the deceased woman buried in that space. On the left and right the woman is satisfying the testaments teachings for salvation. On the left she is being married with a seeded bishop officiating symbolizing marriage . To the right we see her seated in the chair nursing - which chair was the chair used for childbirth symbolizing motherhood . Why do you think it was important for artists to create such realistic interpretations? How do you think the role of the artist
GalinKa [24]
I believe that it was important for artists to create such realistic interpretations in order for them to relate to the audience. People will react more favorably to art they can relate to somehow, art that engages their thoughts and imagination, and art that makes them feel certain emotions when presented with it.

I do believe the role of the artists has changed considerably. In the past, the artist used to create art for him/herself, and express what they were feeling at the time. Now I think artists try to create art for their audience, creating something they think the audience will like, and not take into consideration their own feelings and thoughts.
