For the purpose of an informative piece (be it an article or essay), you will have a very distinct goal of teaching your audience or readers, by manner of presenting information (demonstrating), how to do something or give them enough information by manner of defining or describing something to where they could do something on their own.

Finally, in the fourth sentence, the word "himself" is necessary to the sentence so that the reader knows just WHO Andy is looking at in the mirror. If this pronoun were removed, the meaning of the sentence would change. As a result, sentence D. does NOT contain an intensive pronoun.
Therefore, the sentence that contains an intensive pronoun is B.
The answer should be A. We know Dev is being playful when he breaks a smile, which is said in the stage directions. It also says he thumbs his axe mischievously, which means he is being playful. Hope this helps!
