Larsen's version of the story is not told very often because it carries more details of the friendship that was formed  that the Pilgrim settlers did the Wampanoag.

The story tells us how these people helped the Settlers when they first arrived and were courteous and kind. How they helped them survive the diseases and how the two separate people got to have a mutual understanding and their first thanksgiving.

This is unlike other stories that always portrayed the Indians as people who fought the settlers who coming to their lands.
