QUESTION 1. B) Were concerned about the government having too much power

The founding fathers took care of listing some of the restrictions that the government will have in order to prevent the creation of a government that may abuse its power, and violate some of the most basic rights of people such as the right to freedom.

QUESTION 2. C) Fred, because he wants people to be accountable for crimes.

Fred is the one who has a more rigid vision about the punishment of people, he does not focus on their circumstances nor reasons for committing to crime, but on the crime itself and how it affects society. Therefore, he's more likely to support an effort to lengthen prison terms for repeat offenders because, above all, that people should be accountable for crimes.

QUESTION 3. B) The candidate has voted for legislation that would make health care for the poor and middle class more accessible.

Good candidates are concerned about what's going on in the nation, not only do they talk about their opponent's ideas (Option A), but they focus on the actions that they must take to carry on the projects that will benefit the nation in some way, such as option B suggests.

Option C is incorrect because legislation that benefits the poor and middle class is more permanent and efficient than donating to charities as this would only benefit a group of people temporarily.

Option D is not correct either because to be a candidate that supports a voter's concern, the degrees are not free-ticket pass. There are other fundamental characteristics such as leadership and proactivity.

In what real-life scenarios do you see Machiavelli's advice playing out, either positively or negatively?
ratelena [41]

Answer:

Machiavelli's was born on may 3,1469.He was an Italian politician, philosopher ,writer and a writer. He wrote his most famous work' The Prince' in 1513.

Explanation:He represented various negative thoughts especially in his famous book 'The Prince'.He propagated immoral behavior.According to him a person need not follow moral values in real life.He considered dishonesty and killing those who are innocent being normal and effective especially in politics.

In his book 'The Prince'.He stressed that a Prince must not only be concerned with his reputation ,but he must learn to act immorally at right times. It is not bad to be immoral for achieving our objectives. Many readers considered Machiavelli's teachings as evil.

In real life scenario Machiavelli's advice will play a negative role.It will enable every person to act for his selfish motive. It will help bad people to maintain their power by following dishonest means and becoming cruel towards innocent and honest people. This will cultivate evil in the society.People will forget about their ethics and will become brutal. So according to me Machiavelli's advice should not be implemented.

Explain the connection between the coup d'état of 1799 and the emergence of the consulate
Nataliya [291]
The coup that took place in 1799 was planned by Napoleon Bonaparte in collusion with Abbe Sieyes and Talleyrand. The intent was to overthow the Directory and bring a Consulate to power, consisting of Bonaparte, Sieyes, and a 3rd member, Roger-Duclos. Shortly thereafter a constitution was adopted which gave the First Consul the overarching power -- and that was Napoleon's position. Thus the French Revolution came to an end and Napoleon came into power.
