Political parties started to form in 1787. Political parties are formed because of opinion differences in how they want the government to rule.

EXPLANATION

Political parties are also known as political factions. Political parties began to be formed during the struggle over the ratification of the federal constitution of 1787. There was friction between how powerful federal government should me. The two groups were the federalists and the anti-federalists. The federalists were commanded by the Secretary of Treasury, Alexander Hamilton. The federalists wanted a strong central government.

Meanwhile, the anti-federalists were commanded by Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson. The anti-federalists wanted advocated states’ right, they do not want a centralized power. Federalists gained its strength around the commercial sector of the country. The anti-federalists drew strength from the people who favor agrarian society.

A political party is an organized group that consists of people that have the same ideology. Other than the same ideology, they can also have the same political positions. A political party can also field candidates for elections. In order to get elected, the candidates need to implement the party’s agenda.

Many political parties have a certain core ideology that they hold on. At times, the first ideology that they hold on will be different from the ideology that they hold on to today. Many countries such as India and German will have several political parties, but some countries like China and Cuba only have a one-party system.

The disagreements between different groups when developing the new US Constitution lead to the creation of political parties.

When delegates were meeting at the Constitutional Convention to change the Articles of Confederation, the convention was split into two groups. The Anti-federalists favored a small central government, significant autonomy for states, and the continued use of the Articles of Confederation.

The federalists wanted a stronger central government, less power to state governments, and the development of a completely new constitution.

To describe the characteristics of currency with the statements provided, the answers are...

- Currencies can vary from nation to nation.
Think of the style of currency within the United States, we have dollar bills, quarters, nickels, dimes, pennies, etc. In other countries such as Germany for example, they use a type of currency known as "Euros".

- Currencies are divisible and have denominations.
These denominations within the United States include: Pennies (1 cent), Nickels (5 cents), Dimes (10 cents), Quarters (25 cents), and the Native American Dollar Coin (1 dollar).

- The value of a nation’s currency can change, and this value is based on many factors.
In 1690, America used a paper currency system (These were called "paper notes") to fund "Military Expeditions" and later other colonies began to take up this system as well. Later in 1861 during the Civil War, the U.S began to issue non-interest-bearing Demand notes (Later earning the nickname "Greenbacks"). Throughout the years, these "Notes" went through many re-designs and eventually became the dollar we see today.
