The reason why cells that are amitotic will cause organs to be damaged permanently because cells that are amitotic does not heal or regenerate, causing the organ to be damaged permanently, preventing itself to heal because it does not have a capability of doing it. One example of these cells are called the nerve cells, these cells does not have the capacity to heal itself, causing the person who has damaged these cells to become paralyzed.

Skin color in a certain species of fish is inherited by a single gene with four different alleles. How many different types of g
k0ka [10]

Answer:

4

Explanation:

According to Mendel's law of purity of gametes, each gamete contains single allele for a gene. The alleles of a gene segregate during gamete formation and each gamete has one allele for a gene irrespective of the total number of alleles for a gene.

If the gene for skin color in a fish species has four alleles, an individuals fish would have only two alleles which in turn would segregate during gamete formation.

Since there are four different alleles of the gene (let's assume a,b,c, and d), total possible gametes produced by this organism will be = 4. A gamete can have one of the total 4 alleles making total 4 types of the gametes each with a or b or c or d allele.

What similarities, if any, do you think exist between a human’s reproductive cycle and the life cycle of a fern? What difference
ipn [44]

Answer:

Plant Reproduction and Life Cycle. The life cycle of a plant is very different from the life cycle of an animal. Humans are made entirely of diploid cells (cells with two sets of chromosomes, referred to as ''2n''). ... Plants, however, can live when they are at the stage of having haploid cells or diploid cells.

Explanation:

In an animal life cycle, male and female parents each create sex cells (sperm and eggs) that unite to form a fertilized egg and develop into an offspring organism. Plants, likewise, have sperm and eggs in their life cycles, but these are produced by an intermediate stage between the adult and the offspring.
