Every scientific investigation starts with an idea that produce a question to which one does not have an answer. In order to provide an answer, the question will be used to form a research question and a statement of hypothesis will be formed from this question. An appropriate experiment will be set up that is meant to provide an answer to the research question. The result of the experiment will then be analyzed and conclusion will be made.
The new discovery given birth to by this experiment will then be published in a peer reviewed journal in order to let other scientists become aware of the new knowledge.<span />
