Brainstorming is very helpfull b/c when you go over it fast you kind of get the general idea of what the story is about.

Someone answered the first part of this question so I'll answer the last two. You can can use the brainstorming process when writing a cover letter for a resume in many different ways. You can use this process to plot out what you will want to include in the resume, and what you believe your greatest accomplishments are. You'll want to include these things in a cover letter: your best accomplishments, different places you have worked, what your best skills are. (I hope that helped)
