The Eastern Woodland Culture was made up of Indian tribes occupying the eastern United States and Canada. The Eastern Woodlands was characterized by temperate climate regions from the Atlantic to the Mississippi River and included the Great Lakes. A bulk of Eastern Woodlands tribes spoke Iroquoian or Algonquian. The Iroquois preachers included the Cayuga, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca, and Huron. The Iroquoian tribes were  deer hunters but they planted corn, squash, and beans as well.Furthermore, they found nuts and berries, and they fished.
