The correct answer is letter d. none of the above. The choices presented are possible cause of soil erosion. Soil erosion happens when a big boulder of rocks and soils coming from a mountain slide down because of external forces just like water (specifically during heavy rains), gravity, and as well as burrowing animals.

The correct answer is; d. none of the above

Erosion is a process in which there is gradual wearing away of the earth surface by the action of natural elements such as water, wind, glacial ice and gravity. Burrowing animals, gravity and water are all possible cause of erosion. Burrowing animals are animals that create a hole or tunnel in the ground to provide suitable habitat or a byproduct of movement. The foot of hard-footed animals such as cattle and horses can create hole in the ground when the animals are walking. This makes the soil to become soft. Water or wind can erode the soil by transporting it to another location.

No thermocline exists in high-latitude regions because there is little temperature difference between the top and bottom of the
Klio2033 [76]

Answer:isothermal

Explanation:isothermal can be defined as a line on a map or chart of the earth's surface connecting points having the same temperature at a given time or the same mean temperature for a given period.

An isothermal process is a change of a system, in which the temperature remains constant: ΔT =0. ... In contrast, an adiabatic process is where a system exchanges no heat with its surroundings (Q = 0).

Which of the following must result in a lower base level for rivers and streams? A) sea level drops; land subsides B) sea levelf
Ahat [919]

Answer:

A) sea level drops; land subsides

Explanation:

The sea is the final destination of all streams on land. All streams empty into seas which are the basins that collects all terrestrial materials.

The base level is the lowest level to which a river can erode its channel. The base level is greatly influenced by what happens to a sea.

When a river reaches its base level, erosion ceases. If a river is young and set above its base level, we see a rapid rate of erosion.

A sea, the final basin of depostion of rivers controls the base level to a very large extent. When there is a tectonic movement and a sea subsides. It becomes more deeper and lower. Sea level also falls and materials grades seaward. A river would cut rapidly along its channel and its bed to measure up to the level of the ocean.

Therefore, we see a very rapid rate of erosion of channels when sea level falls and the earth sags downward. This would lead to a lower base level.

When sea level rises and there is a tectonic uplift, rivers erode their channels less and begins to aggrade materials. The base level also rises.
