Many performances originally start as written stories. Similarly, many written stories are eventually turned into performances. However, the two mediums still have a lot of differences that need to be highlighted. Performances are originally designed as scripts. These tend to include all instructions that the actors and crew need to follow, such as tone of voice and facial expressions. In written texts, this is left to the imagination of the reader. Moreover, written texts need to be very detailed when it comes to setting and mood, as the reader needs to be able to imagine all this on his own. On the other hand, during a performance, this is conveyed through the acting.

Which of the following sentences uses a colon correctly?
Tomtit [17]
The correct answer is C. The first example cannot be correct because the colon simply doesn't fit there - a comma would fit better. The second one is also incorrect as you don't need to put a colon after every word, just once before the first word. The last example also doesn't need a colon, you can just enumerate these various states without the use of colon. So naturally, we are left with only one option, and that is C.
