The excerpt above is from "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". The lines are written in sharp honesty and vulnerability. If it is written in an ironic tone, it means that the narrator is not satisfied with his life. Theme of the story would become different because if would lose the sincere type of narration of the boy who is coming of age.
1) Two households, Two families.
A household is a reference to two well respected families of a scoiety.
2)Equal in society
Equally respected, both persons or families, in the case of Romeo and Juliet is two families equally respected.
3)An impartial character
A fair Verona is used to described a character that won´t be biased, and that will judge farily.
Not entirely sure, but I believe it's the first one.
A. Macbeth is losing his mind at this point and sees the ghost of Banquo. Which does raise some eyebrows from noblemen. :)
