Explanation:

Robert Louis Stevenson's gothic novella "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll ans Mr. Hyde" tells the story of how a respected doctor had to kill himself to fend of his evil alter ego. The story majorly revolves around the theme of good versus evil in a person, and in general, the world.

One case is that of the mysterious cheque as told in the very first chapter of the story. In "The Story of the Door", when Mr. Enfield began telling about the story of how My Hyde had hurt a little girl. And for re-compensation, Hyde brought a cheque in the name of Dr. Jekyll. So, in his sui cide letter at the end of the story titled "Henry Jekyll's Full Statement of the Case", Dr. Jekyll reveals why he wrote a cheque for what Hyde had done to the girl. He also mentioned what he had planned to avoid any unfortunate events from happening again in the future.

Which section of the "volcanoes" page of the Ready.gov website cautions people to be aware of mudflows?
lorasvet [3.4K]

The section of the "volcanoes" page of the Ready.gov website that cautions people to be aware of mudflows is During .The correct answer is D.

On the third point of do's they say and I quote "Avoid areas downwind, and river valleys downstream, of the volcano. Rubble and ash will be carried by wind and gravity.", this can be represented by mudflows.

There are no other parts in the page that talk about that so the other options cannot be correct since they are talking about incorrect segments of information.

Which of these sentences should Nancy add at the beginning of the second paragraph (sentences 7-15) to serve as the most
stich3 [128]

The sentence that Nancy should add at the beginning of the second paragraph to serve as the most effective position statement for her essay is C. We spend way too much time during the week ...

 • A position statement is the writer's or speaker's viewpoint, claim, or thesis clearly stated after the introductory paragraph. It may also come at the end of the first paragraph or sometimes at the beginning of the second paragraph.

 • It clearly states the unequivocal position that the author has taken on the topic. It is then interwoven with reasons and evidence to support the stated position.

 • The major characteristics of a position statement are:
 1. It is simple and clear.
 2. It is memorable and tailored to achieve result.
 3. It is credible, focused, and supported with reasons.

Thus, a position statement does not create ambivalence and ambiguity like options A, B, and D but is well-supported with reasons like option C.
