I believe that our Carbon output, in the long run, has a large hope of remediation, although this is far from guaranteed. What gives me confidence is that as renewable energy sources, such as solar power and wind energy, become more efficient with technological progress, they actually become cheaper relative to other sources, such as goal and gas.

Once the free market begins driving the shift to renewables, rather than governments or society, which are short-sighted and generally slow to change, I believe we will see a rapid reduction in carbon output.
