The following story is narrated by the character Robin. If the story were narrated by the character Tommy, what two things would

the reader learn? The door opened and the thin boy with ruffled hair stared at me. He was wearing an orange t-shirt and held a baseball bat in his hand. “Robin,” he whispered. If I had known that Tommy Gilmore was the guy I would end up marrying 10 years later, I would have looked at him more closely. But at that time, all I realized was that I wasn’t on Mrs. Windermere’s doorstep. “Oh! I am sorry! I have the wrong door!” I blurted out and disappeared from his sight. Years later, when we discussed the events of that afternoon, Tommy insisted that I had blushed, smiled, and made conversation. He even swears that I wore a yellow sundress that day, when actually I was wearing jeans. I think that Tommy always saw things the way he wanted to. what Tommy thought when he saw Robin why Robin wore jeans that afternoon why Robin wanted to see Mrs. Windermere why Robin knocked on the wrong door what Tommy felt on hearing the knock NextReset

<span>Anything from Robin's perspective would not be learned by the reader if Tommy was the narrator. This means that the options "</span>why Robin wore jeans that afternoon," "why Robin wanted to see Mrs. Windermere," and "why Robin knocked on the wrong door" are not correct.

Answers: The reader would learn two things: what Tommy thought when he saw Robin and what Tommy felt on hearing the knock.

Hope this helps!

Hillary’s family is thinking of relocating to a different city to save money. They set up a budget comparing the cost of living
Nuetrik [128]

Answer:

Based on the cost of living alone, the best place to live would be <u>Santa Fe</u>.

Explanation:

Let's set up the information a little differently so you can see it more clearly (see attachment).

The city with the lowest cost of living is Santa Fe. It only costs $1860, while the other cities cost more. Therefore, based on the cost of living alone, the best city to live in would be Santa Fe, because it cost the least amount of money to live there.

Read this excerpt from "Not a Dove, But No Longer a Hawk." I remember distinctly the thrill of climbing aboard a U.S. Army helic
Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

The correct answer would be option b:"The author once felt pride and optimism about the war".

Explanation:

In the excerpt, the author says that "he was proud of the young American pilots sitting at the controls in the cockpit" and that "he was grateful for the opportunity to witness this adventure and report it".

It just says that he was excited to get on a U.S Army helicopter, it does not say nor infer that is was his first flying experience, therefore, option a is incorrect.

It doesn't say and it cannot be inferred that the U.S soldiers are trained in hand to hand combat, so option c is also incorrect.

The author barely mentions the Vietcong guerillas, and he does not seem to have any respect for them since he was excited about war, so option d is also incorrect.

xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

Parents cannot control their child's decisions.

Explanation:

"Bul_GO! -Gi" addresses the story of a mother who, despite being a very talented artist and wishes her son to follow in her footsteps, she does not impose anything on her. She doesn't require him to do the same as she does, but she respects the boy's individuality and allows him to make his own decisions about how he wants to run his own life. This creates a very good relationship between them, capable of making the child appreciate the mother's wishes.

Which sentence in this excerpt from “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman suggests that the narrator may be prone t
Nikitich [7]

Answer: This paper looks to me as if it knew what a vicious influence it had!

In <em>The Yellow Wallpaper</em>, a woman is locked up in a room with yellow wallpaper because she is sick, and her husband, who is a doctor, believes that rest and lack of stimulation can help her get better. However, she feels trapped, and the fact that she has no mental stimulation makes her begin to lose her mind. An example of this is the fact that she is prone to hallucinations. We can see this in the passage, as she states that the paper seemed to know what a bad influence it was.
